The Gala is a luxurious event where everyone has an opportunity to dress up and mingle with their friends, family, co-workers, and CSD teachers/staff.
Please plan on arriving at 5pm in order to give yourself sufficient time at Registration. At Registration, you will be asked to give your credit card information along with other pertinent information. When completed, you will receive an envelope containing the program book and your paddle number. Please do not lose this envelope!
The Silent Auctions will take place in the main foyer outside of the ballroom, and will be open for bidding starting at 5:30pm. The very last bid that can be placed will be at 6:45pm.
Once the Silent Auction tables are closed, you should then move into the ballroom and take a seat at your table - you might have a Table Captain or be randomly assigned to a table. April Brown, our exciting and dynamic auctioneer, will begin the Live Auction with some game fun for everyone to enjoy! The Live Auction will proceed from there while dinner is being served, with a short break in between so that all the tables can participate in the Dessert Dash. Once the Live Auction is completed, April Brown and her staff will quickly tally up and announce how much gross profit has been raised that evening!
Remember... all purchases go directly to our children at CSD!
The Gala will be held at the luxurious Wyndham Parc 55 Hotel in downtown San Francisco, at the heart of the city's shopping center! The Powell Street BART station is mere steps away.
The Gala will be on the fourth floor, both in the foyer and inside the Cyril Magnin Ballroom. The event starts at 5pm. Silent auctions will commence from 5pm until approximately 6:45pm, where everyone will go into the ballroom to be seated for dinner. During dinner, the Live Auction will commence! The Dessert Dash will also take place during a break during the Live Auction. The Gala ends at 10pm.
The Auction segments of the Gala will be run by April Brown and her staff, of Charity Auction World, based in Seattle, Washington. They have had successful experiences of running auctions with Deaf attendees, and was our auction company for the 2013 Gala.
